mosquito
In 1999, I made three helicopters from ceramic, Vietnam Huey helicopters (technically Bell UH-1 Iroquois); immediately afterwards, I made mosquitoes of the same size, about 20 inches long. Both helicopters and mosquitoes fly, make noise and can irritate. After mosquitoes, in this order, I made ants, locusts and scarabs. These insects often have industrial qualities, echoing the original idea of connecting helicopters and mosquitoes.
