17 x 118

in 2021, I made a list of 118 words that I had used in books in a six-year period. Then I made a series of drawings with these words, called Map Culture, and an image/text series on ceramic and wood panels called 17 words. The culmination of all this work is this series, 17 x 118: 17 drawings that use as many of the 118 original words as possible. I am trying to connect three previous series in this project.

I did not complete the project as the absolute is ultimately undesirable and impossible.
