In Morocco, there is a card game called Ronda, originally Spanish, that the men play on the street. It is a form of bridge and became the inspiration for the book title, as well as some of the content. This book was actually made in Tangier, where there is much ‘broken English’ and uses images and text in no particular order. The grey paper used for printing, is cheap, local paper used to wrap food, deliberately not archival. Making archival work seemed an unnecessary indulgence in a country like Morocco.

I combine it with an early music video, as I felt as if my presentation was like Bob Dylan’s use of the signs. Note Allen Ginsberg in the background, an early adopter of the counterculture.
